Robberies
There were two robberies during the past week.
On Wednesday, 05-28-25, at approximately 2:00 a.m., in the area of the 6100 block of Mission Street, a victim was robbed of his shoes and a gold bracelet by three unknown males who assaulted him. The victim described one of the suspects as a Hispanic male with a darker complexion, approximately 5’9” tall, and around 225 pounds. This investigation is ongoing.
On Thursday, 05-29-25, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to Macy’s at the Serramonte Center on a report of a shoplifting incident. An asset protection captain stated that the suspect entered the store, selected merchandise, concealed them into a clear-colored bag, and ultimately exited the store without paying. Outside the store, the asset protection captain identified himself and asked the suspect to speak about the unpaid items in her possession. As the loss prevention staff tried to detain the suspect, the suspect kicked, slapped, and scratched the asset protection captain. The loss prevention staff eventually detained the suspect. Upon the officers’ arrival, the suspect, a 29-year-old San Francisco resident, was arrested and booked into jail for robbery and battery.

One of the suspects then selected a gift set, and both suspects exited the store without paying for the merchandise. The suspects were located in a vehicle in the parking lot, and a traffic enforcement stop was conducted. Inside the vehicle, additional stolen merchandise from Hollister and PacSun was found. Nextdoor.com
Nextdoor.com is a free private social networking website for your neighborhood. This private network ensures that only those who live in your neighborhood can join; users must go through a verification process. Neighbors ask each other for business recommendations; help in locating missing pets; discuss relevant local government issues; or connect for other reasons. It is very easy to sign up. I like the fact that the site verifies users by addresses, and it won’t allow people to access a neighborhood if they don’t live there. Please note: The City of Daly City and/or the Police Department cannot see what residents post—we are only allowed to post information. There is also a mobile application, or you can have it sent to your e-mail. Give it a try! www.nextdoor.com
