Driver of a Mini-Van Leads Deputy on a Pursuit and is Subsequently Arrested for Evading and Drug Charges

INCIDENT: CVC 2800.2 – Failure to Yield
LOCATION: Navajo Road and Nisqually Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Alfred Bojorquez, 39 of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Deputy K. Watson observed a vehicle near the intersection of Nisqually Road and Navajo Road. The vehicle violated multiple vehicle codes, and a traffic stop was initiated. The vehicle, a Chrysler minivan, failed to yield and a pursuit ensued. During the pursuit, the driver, Alfred Bojorquez, failed to stop the vehicle for multiple posted stop signs and occupants threw two baggies of suspected methamphetamine from the vehicle. The pursuit concluded near the intersection of Navajo Road and Clallam Road and Bojorquez was detained without incident. The baggies thrown from the vehicle were located.
Bojorquez was transported to High Desert Detention Center and during the booking process was found to have suspected methamphetamine concealed on his person. Bojorquez was booked for bringing drugs into a jail facility and felony evading. He is being held without bail on a parole violation.
