POWER OUTAGE PLANNED FOR 2PM TODAY, 100-300 BLK. N 12th ST & N SUMMIT 
Today at 2pm Tonkawa Electric Department will conduct a power outage in the 100, 200, and 300 blocks of N. 12th Street (even numbered addresses) and N. Summit Street (odd numbered addresses). The duration of the power outage is expected not to exceed 90 minutes. The purpose for the power outage is to conduct premitigation power line inspections and tree trimming (by a private contractor) prior to the severe weather forecasted tonight and into the weekend. Heavy rain and strong winds are expected and pose a significant risk to this area of our electrical system. A 90 minute power outage, today, could prevent a multiple day power outage, tonight. We understand this is short notice and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. However, this outage/work needs to be expedited as NOT doing the outage/work jeopardizes an area larger than the outage area, today (storm risks). Please make the necessary plans with your electrical appliances and use regarding this power outage. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your support.
