Albany Police Department Participating in Multi-Agency Training Exercise
The Albany Police Department, in partnership with the New York National Guard Civil Support Team, Albany Fire Department, and the New York State Police, will conduct a hazmat training exercise across several downtown Albany locations. This exercise is part of an ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and preparedness of our officers and the community. Please note that this training is a closed event and will not be open to the public or media observation.
Operations will be conducted both inside and outside the following locations:
- Port of Albany
- USS Slater
- Palace Theatre
Emergency vehicles and uniformed personnel will be present at all locations throughout the exercise. Simulated scenarios may be conducted, but there is no threat to public safety. We do not anticipate any interruptions to traffic or significant delays during this exercise.
