1. Robbery Arrest (1528) Hunter Street and Channel Street, Civic District
The female victims, 13 and 34, were in the listed area when the known suspects battered them and took their property. Officers located and arrested one of the suspects. The victims were treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries. ARRESTED: Kiana Turner, 33, for robbery and child abuse.
2. Carjacking (2100) Poplar Street and Madison Street, Civic District
The male victim, 68, was driving in the area when he was involved in a collision. The suspects were standing in the area at the time of the collision and approached the victim’s vehicle. The suspects forced the victim out of his vehicle, assaulted him, and stole his vehicle. An uninvolved vehicle was driving in the area after the incident and struck the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries and is expected to survive. Officers later located the victim’s vehicle abandoned nearby. Detectives responded to continue the investigation.
