Traffic Stop for Vehicle Code Violation Ends in Drug Possession Arrest of San Bernardino Man

LOCATION: Curtis Street / Redlands Boulevard, Loma Linda
SUSPECT(S): Drew Galindo, 48-year-old male, resident of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at approximately 2:53 a.m., Deputy Rodriguez initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Curtis Street and Redlands Boulevard in the City of Loma Linda for a violation of CVC 5201.1, Altering Reflective Coating on a License Plate. Rodriguez identified the driver, and sole occupant, as Drew Galindo. A records check revealed that Galindo had an active felony no-bail warrant for his arrest.
During a search of Galindo's vehicle, approximately two pounds of suspected fentanyl, 313 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 9.7 grams of suspected heroin, 2.3 grams of suspected cocaine, a digital scale, and various denominations of US currency were found inside. Galindo was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center on the charges of HS 11378: Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, HS 11351: Possession of Heroin for Sale, and his active felony no-bail warrant.
