* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following county, Cherokee and southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Barry, Jasper, McDonald and Newton.

* WHEN...Until noon CDT today.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A complex of showers and thunderstorms will move into the area this morning. One to two inches of rainfall with localized amounts of three inches could cause additional flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
