1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1618) 5600 Block of North Pershing Avenue, Lakeview District
The male victim, 59, was working in the area when the suspect threw rocks at him. The victim confronted the suspect, who brandished a knife. The suspect tripped and fell on his knife, stabbing himself. The victim was able to take the knife from the suspect but was cut while doing so. Both the suspect and the victim were treated at area hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries. SUSPECT: Black male adult.
2. Robbery (1647) 4400 Block of Pacific Avenue, Lakeview District
The male victim, 37, was working at an area business when he caught two children trying to steal merchandise. Two adult suspects confronted the victim, battered him, and stole the merchandise the children had dropped. The suspects fled in a vehicle. The victim declined medical attention. SUSPECTS: a Black female adult and a Black male adult.
3. Public Intoxication/Resisting Arrest (0003) Thornton Road and Stanfield Drive, Bear Creek District
Officers responded to the area of the call location on a report of a disturbance involving an intoxicated subject running into traffic. Officers contacted the subject and attempted to detain him, but he resisted arrest. Officers used force to take the subject into custody. ARRESTED: Steven Hunkin, 40, for resisting arrest and public intoxication charges.
