ESCONDIDO, California – A man riding a bicycle across East Valley Parkway was struck by a vehicle and killed Saturday night. He was crossing about 100 feet west of the intersection of Ash Street at about 9:10 p.m. when a westbound Honda Accord struck him.
            The driver remained on scene and cooperated with police. Alcohol or drugs are not a factor in the crash, and investigators are working to determine the cause.
            The bicyclist’s identity is being withheld pending notification to family.

              ESCONDIDO, California – Un hombre que montaba una bicicleta a través de East Valley Parkway fue atropellado por un vehículo y muerto el sábado por la noche. Estaba cruzando aproximadamente 100 pies al oeste de la intersección de Ash Street a eso de las 9:10 p.m. cuando un Honda Accord que viajaba hacia el oeste lo golpeó.
El conductor permaneció en la escena y cooperó con la policía. El alcohol o las drogas no son un factor en el accidente, y los investigadores están trabajando para determinar la causa. La identidad del ciclista se mantiene en reserva a la espera de notificación a la familia.
