Police Investigate Early Morning Shooting

Incident Summary:
 
On June 8th, at 3:48 A.M., Petaluma Police Department Dispatch received a call regarding a gunshot victim who had come into the emergency room.

Officers responded to the hospital and discovered a male victim who had sustained two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. According to the victim, he was in the area of Redwood Way walking back to a nearby hotel when he was confronted by an unknown male subject. The man demanded items from the victim and produced a firearm. The man then fired two shots, striking the victim in his hand and leg. The man fled the scene and the victim returned to his hotel room where he self-transported to a local hospital for treatment.
 
The identity of the shooter is not known at this time. He is described as a 6 ft tall, male, last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt and black face mask.
