Wilmington Police arrest seven men on drug charges:
Wilmington Police have arrested seven men on drug charges following an investigation.
Beginning in May, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 1800 block of West 5th Street. On June 2, at approximately 11:16 a.m., police executed a search warrant in that block and took 20-year-old Antonio Valentin, 32-year-old Andre Gershad, 23-year-old Taron Williams, 34-year-old Jamar Roane, 26-year-old Nakai Thomas, 34-year-old Devon Hargraves, and 18-year-old Zayd Grandby, into custody without incident. Police recovered 6.0 grams of crack cocaine, .60 grams of heroin, 98 grams of marijuana, 73 Oxycodone pills, and drug paraphernalia.
Antonio Valentin has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Two Counts
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Andre Gershad has been charged with the following offense:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity
Taron Williams has been charged with the following offense:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
Jamar Roane has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Two Counts
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
Nakai Thomas has been charged with the following offense:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
Devon Hargraves has been charged with the following offenses in addition to an outstanding warrant:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
Zayd Granby has been charged with the following offense:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
