The Silver Lake Tot Lot on Stockley Street will be closed tomorrow morning (June 12) as a city contractor removes three Bradford pear trees. Traffic through the area may be briefly impacted. The park will reopen in the afternoon.

This tree work is funded through a $5,000 Delaware Department of Agriculture grant to remove invasive species from public properties. In place of the Bradford pear trees, the city will plant five river birch trees in the fall.
