Man Arrested for Possession of Stolen Property and a Ghost Gun when Deputies Respond to an Unrelated Call

INCIDENT: Possession of Stolen Property and an Unserialized Firearm
LOCATION: 21000 block of Pah-Ute Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Frank Vasquez, 69-year-old male, Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Saturday, June 7, 2025, deputies from the Apple Valley Station responded to a residence located in the 21000 block of Pah-Ute Road, for reports of a missing adult. Upon arrival, a male ran from the residence and could not be located. During a safety sweep of the residence, deputies located suspected methamphetamine, which prompted a search warrant to be written for the residence. During the execution of the warrant, deputies located a stolen vehicle, unserialized firearm, ammunition, and seized the suspected methamphetamine.
An occupant of the residence, Frank Vasquez, was detained without incident and transported to the High Desert Detention Center where he was booked for being in possession of a controlled substance while armed, possession of a stolen vehicle, and possession of a firearm and ammunition. Vasquez was later released on bail.
