SBHS students attend powerful presentations.
In a collaborative effort between the South Brunswick Police Department, South Brunswick School District, and the Municipal Alliance, students recently attended powerful presentations on the dangers of substance abuse and its impact on mental health.
The first presentation, led by Dr. Matt Bellace, offered an engaging and interactive experience titled “How to Achieve a Natural High.” With a PhD in clinical psychology and a subspecialty in neuropsychology, Dr. Bellace encouraged students to be positive leaders and find healthy ways to cope with life’s challenges.
The second presentation featured the Black Poster Project, a silent memorial that sheds light on the real and personal toll of addiction. It offered attendees a deeper understanding of how addiction affects families, what warning signs to look for, and where to seek help.
Both presentations left a lasting impact, and we are proud to have been part of this important initiative.
