Full Notification

A new resident stopped by our office this afternoon to report suspicious activity. He stated that two younger males, possibly in their 20s, were going door to door in a red Honda Civic, claiming to offer free ADT home security systems "provided by the City of Merriam Woods."
We want to clarify that this is entirely false—the city does not have any affiliation with ADT and we are not providing or endorsing home security systems of any kind.
The resident also mentioned he asked the individuals for a business card or some form of identification, and they responded that it was a “limited time deal” and that they didn’t have any cards with them.
Given the nature of this interaction and the false claims being made, we are concerned that these individuals may have ulterior motives and could be targeting new residents under false pretenses.
