Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in identifying the suspect pictured below, who broke into a coffee and tea shop and stole its cash register containing $200.00 on June 11, 2025.
Police responded to Black Swan Espresso in the 90 block of Halsey Street. When they arrived, the officers secured the scene after discovering that the shop’s front door window had been shattered. Surveillance video captured the suspect breaking the window with a rock to gain entry. Moments later, the suspect left with the cash register in his hands and walked southbound on Halsey Street. He wore a tan hat, a black-hooded sweatshirt, grey pants, and beige sneakers.
