At 435 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an line of strong winds ahead of an area of strong thunderstorms extending from 19 miles northwest of Ute Lake State Park to near Montoya, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Tucumcari, Logan, Ute Lake State Park and Montoya. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 306 and 343. State Road 104 between Mile Markers 78 and 105. This includes the following recreation areas... Ute Lake State Park.
