Operation “Clean House” Nets Another Employee/Contractor for Criminal Activity – SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN

Today, Security Specialist Laporsha Williams crossed the Sheriff’s guard line and attempted to introduce contraband into the Clayton County Jail for a male inmate.
Williams was immediately terminated from employment with the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office and arrested at her former place of work.
She exchanged her employee badge number for an inmate LE number, her Security Specialist title for an inmate title, her professional attire for an orange jumpsuit, and her clean record for three felony charges:
• Criminal Attempt to Commit a Felony (O.C.G.A. § 16-4-1)
• Crossing Guard Lines with Prohibited Items (O.C.G.A. § 42-5-15)
• Giving an Inmate a Telecommunications Device (O.C.G.A. § 42-5-18)
Williams had been employed with the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office since March 15, 2025. Her arrest took place on June 13, 2025.
Since taking office, SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN has personally met with every new-hire class. Before administering the oath of office, he makes it clear that a cultural shift is underway within the Sheriff’s Office under his leadership.
SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN remains committed to reform, accountability, and public trust, as he continues the mission to clean up the jail and make Clayton County a safer place to live.
