INCIDENT: Carjacking
LOCATION: 19105 Bear Valley Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Trasia Blakney, 20-year-old female, Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): Confidential-Adult Female
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at approximately 11:43 p.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Station responded to Winco, 19105 Bear Valley Road, in reference to a carjacking and assault. Deputies arrived on scene and determined the victim was attempting to deescalate an altercation in the parking lot when she was sprayed with pepper spray by the suspect, Trasia Blakney. The victim was unable to take further action due to the pepper spray, at which point Blakney entered the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene. The victim’s vehicle was located by another deputy, and a traffic stop was initiated. Blakney was detained without incident.
Blakney was transported to High Desert Detention Center and booked for carjacking. Blakney is being held in lieu of $90,000 bail.
