Suspect Arrested in Needles for Stabbing the Family Dog Multiple Times
DATE/TIME: Friday, June 13, 2025, at approximately 2:43 p.m.
INCIDENT: PC 597(a) Cruelty to Animals
LOCATION: 1800 Block of Barrackman Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Dennis Anthony Campos, 37-years-old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Friday, June 13, 2025, at approximately 2:43 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to the 1800 block of Barrackman Street for an unknown problem. Through investigation, deputies discovered a family dog in the home was stabbed by Dennis Campos several times with a kitchen knife. Campos fled the scene prior to deputies arriving. The dog later passed away as a result of it's injuries.
Campos was later located on the 1900 block of Race Street in Needles. Campos was arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking on P.C. 597(a) Cruelty to Animals. Campos remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
