SUMMARY: On Saturday, June 7, 2025, deputies from the Central Station responded to a call for service and made contact with a female identified as Regina Alanis. A records check revealed Alanis had an outstanding felony warrant. During a subsequent search of her person and vehicle, deputies discovered a substantial quantity of methamphetamine, multiple individual baggies, and a functional digital scale, all indicative of narcotics sales.
Deputies obtained and served a search warrant for a residence in Redlands, which Alanis shares with her boyfriend, James Chase. At the time, Chase was already in custody at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for a probation violation related to narcotics sales.
During the search of the Redlands residence, deputies located approximately 245 fentanyl pills. As a result, Alanis was arrested for Health & Safety Code 11378 – Possession of Narcotics for Sale. Chase will face additional charges through a supplemental booking under the same statute.
Further investigation revealed Chase’s connection to a second location in the 10500 block of Mountain View Avenue in Loma Linda. On Thursday, June 12, 2025, deputies served the second search warrant at that residence. Upon arrival, they contacted the resident, Jacob Burns and Christian Winkler. A search of both individuals resulted in the discovery of fentanyl.
A subsequent search of the residence yielded approximately two ounces of fentanyl, one ounce of methamphetamine, a functional digital scale, and a loaded, unserialized, and unregistered firearm.
Winkler was arrested for HS 11350- Possession of Narcotics. Burns was arrested for PC 29800- Felon in Possession of a Firearm, HS 11370.1- Possession of Narcotics while Armed, HS 11366- Maintaining a Drug House, HS 11378- Possession of Narcotics for Sales, and PC 30305- Felon in Possession of Ammunition.
