One injured in Single Vehicle Crash
Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on 06/17/2025 at approximately 0430 hours, his deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a single -vehicle crash on Shattuck Rd., south of Quaker St., Penn Township, Cass County Michigan.
The investigation showed that Alisha Kindy (35 years old from Goshen, IN) was traveling northbound on Shattuck Rd. Kindy lost control of the vehicle traveling off the roadway to the right and striking a tree. The vehicle continued to travel back onto the roadway before leaving the roadway to the left and becoming stuck in a field. Kindy was ejected from the vehicle, after it struck the first tree. Kindy was transported by SMCAS Ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital for injuries sustained in the traffic crash.
Kindy was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Alcohol and Drugs may have been a factor for the crash. This crash remains under investigation.
Assisting agencies on scene were SMCAS Ambulance, Penn Township Fire Department, and Central Cass Fire Department.
