6/15 – 4:54 p.m. – Police received a report of a reckless driver, in front of the Alpine Trails Subdivision, committing multiple traffic violations including improperly passing a vehicle, disobeying stop signs, and travelling at a high rate of speed. It was believed the suspect was delivering packages. A Millstadt Officer observed the vehicle at East Madison Street and Kossuth Street and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, Diametria C. Freeman, 23 of East St. Louis, was cited for Driving While Suspended, Operation of Uninsured Vehicle, Failure to Signal Within 100 Feet of a Turn, and two violations of the Child Passenger Safety Act (children < 8 not in an approved child restraint system).
