Narrative:

On 6/16/25, after a months-long investigation, Investigators with the Moorpark Police Department arrested Jason Eil for orchestrating a sophisticated fraud scheme involving a false business entity and the theft of millions of dollars from a victim’s legitimate company.
Investigators determined that Eil created a fraudulent business and exploited the victim’s company to generate sales transactions, diverting approximately $3.2 million in income to himself over the course of nine years. Additionally, the victim’s business suffered over $1 million in losses due to unauthorized cost of goods and shipping expenses.
“This case highlights the devastating impact of financial fraud on businesses and the importance of thorough investigative work to uncover long-term schemes,” said Amy Garcia, an Investigator with the Moorpark Police Department. “We are committed to holding those who engage in deceptive financial practices accountable for their actions.”
Eil has been charged with ten counts of Grand Theft and is currently out of custody, on $50,000 bail, awaiting arraignment. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities encourage anyone with additional information to contact the Moorpark Police Department with any additional information.
