Hurricane Helene Recovery Update for Rutherford County Residents! Southern Disaster Recovery (SDR) has completed all public right-of-way work as of June 10th, removing just over 1 million cubic yards of debris from our roads. Our Disaster Recovery contractor, SDR, is also working hard to restore our streams and waterways after Hurricane Helene. As part of this effort, SDR representatives Richard Prescott and Cody Gage with Good Hope are reaching out to landowners whose properties adjoin affected streams. If Mr. Prescott or Mr. Gage contact you, please know they are working on behalf of the county to assist with emergency stream restoration. They may need your signature on right of entry forms to allow work on your property. DebrisTech is continuing to take applications for Personal Property Debris Removal (PPDR) through June 30th. Please call (828) 319-2880 to apply or visit the Senior Center, located at 193 Callahan Koon Road in Spindale, Wednesday or Thursday 10 am-2 pm.
