June 8th
Shoplift - 670 El Cerrito Plaza (CVS):
At 8:54 PM, an officer reports a suspect entered the store and stole items. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.
June 9th
Warrant Arrest - Cutting Blvd. / I-80:
At 1:56 AM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop. During the investigation, officers discovered the driver had a warrant for their arrest. The driver was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Vandalism – 3100 block of Yosemite Ave.
At 12:09 PM, an officer reports a suspect attempted to cut through a cable of copper wire.
Vandalism – Fairmount Ave. / Liberty St.
At 4:00 PM, a victim reports a suspect broke the mirror of the victim’s vehicle. The suspect was located and positively identified. The suspect was arrested, booked at El Cerrito Police Department, and released with a citation.
June 10th
Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave. / Fresno Ave.
At 8:57 AM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop. During the investigation, officers found the driver had two warrants for their arrest. The driver was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility
Theft / Elder Abuse (Financial) – 8500 block of Betty Ln.
At 8:31 AM, a victim reports the suspect pretended to be a government official and tricked the victim out of their money.
June 11th
Shoplifting – 1000 El Cerrito Plaza (Lucky):
At 9:51 AM, the suspect stole items from the store and fled prior to police arrival.
Identity Theft – 10200 block of San Pablo Ave.
At 10:24 AM, the victim reported a suspect posted the victim’s identifying information on social media.
Warrant Arrest – 400 block of Kearney St.
At 10:56 PM, while on a call for service, an officer conducted a records check of a subject on scene. Officers discovered the subject had an outstanding warrant for their arrest. The subject was arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department, and released with a citation.
June 12th
Theft / Elder Abuse (Financial) – 8500 block of Betty Ln.
At 10:30 AM, the victim reports they were tricked out of their money over the phone and internet by the suspect.
Shoplifting – 1000 El Cerrito Plaza (Lucky):
At 1:49 PM, an officer reports store employees confronted a suspect after the suspect stole a bottle of wine. The wine was recovered and the suspect fled the store prior to police arrival.
Public Intoxication – 1000 El Cerrito Plaza (Lucky):
At 7:53 PM, an officer witnessed a subject in public who was highly intoxicated. After officers found the subject could not care for themselves, the subject was arrested and transported directly to Martinez Detention Center.
June 13th
Recovered Plate – 11450 San Pablo Ave.
At 8:23 AM, an officer recovered a stolen license plate.
Brandishing – 11645 San Pablo Ave. (Freeway Motel):
At 11:52 AM, an officer reports a suspect pulled out a weapon during an argument in the motel parking lot with the victim. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.
Grand Theft – 1400 block of Norvell St.
At 4:09 PM, an officer reports a suspect stole copper wire.
June 14th
Identity Theft – 9950 San Pablo Ave. (Chase Bank):
At 10:09 AM, an officer reports a suspect attempted to use an identification card belonging to the victim to perform a fraudulent transaction.
Shoplift - 670 El Cerrito Plaza (CVS):
At 9:36 PM, an officer reports a suspect stole items from the business and fled the area prior to police arrival.
