LOCATION: Open Field Southwest of Highway 395 and Palmdale Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Daniel Coleman, 33-years-old, Resident of Victorville
VICTIM(S): Dwayne Hartley, 60-years-old, Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at about 3:01 a.m., deputies in Victorville responded to an open field near Highway 395 and Palmdale Road for a reported stabbing. When they arrived at the scene, deputies found Dwayne Hartley on the ground, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Hartley was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail also responded and assumed the investigation. Investigators identified the suspect as Daniel Coleman and later located him hiding in a shed at his residence in Victorville.
Coleman was booked at the High Desert Detention Center where he remains on $1,000,000 bail.
