Deputies Arrest Moreno Valley Man After Investigation Reveals He Took Part in Fraudulent Banking Transactions
DATE/TIME: Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at about 11:20 a.m.
INCIDENT: PC 470(a) Forgery and PC 487 Grand Theft
LOCATION: 25000 Block of Barton Road, Loma Linda
SUSPECT(S): Jose Armando Lopez-Carrillo, 24-years-old, Resident of Moreno Valley, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, June 17, at 11:20 a.m., detectives from the San Bernardino Sheriff's Central Station conducted an investigation regarding a forged $18,000 check which was deposited and cashed at a bank in Loma Linda.
During the investigation, detectives located evidence that showed Jose Lopez-Carrillo was a person of interest. A search warrant was authorized for a residence in Moreno Valley and detectives located Lopez-Carrillo inside. Through investigation, deputies learned Lopez-Carrillo allowed other people to use his information and bank account for fraulent activity in exchange for money.
Lopez-Carrillo was arrested for forgery and grand theft. He was booked into the Central Detention Center and is being held on a $30,000 bail.
