On Saturday, June 21, 2025, the Westfield Fire Department will mark its 150th anniversary with a parade and celebration at the Westfield National Guard Armory. The parade will include units from all Westfield Government agencies, as well as participating units from more than twenty other jurisdictions.
The parade will begin at 609 West North Avenue (Lord & Taylor) at 11:00 a.m. and proceed through the Central Business District, then travel down Rahway Avenue to the Armory (see attached map for specific route information).
The parade route will be closed to vehicular traffic at approximately 10:45 a.m. Please plan an alternate route if traveling during that time. Officers will be stationed at Elm Street and East Broad Street, and Prospect Street and East Broad Street to allow vehicle traffic to EXIT the area confined by the parade route (pedestrians will be allowed to cross in either direction). Vehicles will not be permitted to enter the affected area until the parade is complete.
