As of 12:30 p.m. today, Friday, June 20, Main Street is closed to all traffic just south of the Stevens Street intersection due to emergency gas main repairs.

All travelers are urged to seek alternate northbound routes immediately.

Please note:

• Stevens Street, as well as East and West Spring Streets, are closed at their intersections with Main Street due to ongoing construction in the project area.
• Platt Street, Union Street, Bellevue Street, and Burling Street remain open at their intersections with Main Street.

Alternate northbound routes include:

• On the west side of Main Street: Union Street → Weaver Street → Tigan Street → Main Street
• On the east side of Main Street: Platt Street → Barlow Street → East Spring Street → Leclair Street → Burling Street → Main Street

Southbound traffic on Main Street remains detoured to Tigan Street and Weaver Street.

Additionally, gas services are currently interrupted for properties on Main Street between Maple Street and the Winooski/Colchester town line near the Winooski schools, and will remain so until emergency repairs are completed. This gas service interruption may also impact intersecting side streets along this section of Main Street.
