SUMMARY: On June 10, 2025, at about 10:30 p.m., three male suspects conducted an armed kidnapping in the 13600 block of Arrow Route, in Fontana. The primary victim was targeted because of their employment at a local marijuana dispensary. The secondary victim was a juvenile relative who was with the primary victim.
During the incident, the juvenile victim escaped from the moving vehicle and suffered serious injuries. The adult victim was taken to a remote area of the San Bernardino National Forest near the Cajon Pass, where they were beaten and pistol whipped, until a ransom payment was made.
As a result of the injuries sustained during the kidnapping, both victims were hospitalized with serious injuries. Investigators with the Fontana Sheriff's Station and the Sheriff's Specialized Enforcement Division arrested Erick Garcia-Hernandez, David Colton, and Ashley Lopez-Cedano. Lopez-Cedano was an accessory to the crime and all three are still in-custody. A felony warrant has been issued for Agustin Lopez-Garcia, but it is believed he has fled the country.
All the suspects reside in the Muscoy area of unincorporated San Bernardino. Investigators believe these suspects are responsible for additional kidnappings for ransom. Investigators are releasing photographs of the suspects and their vehicles and are seeking additional victims.
