Improvements Coming to First Avenue – Work Starts 6/25/25 
Message from the City of Asbury Park Transportation Department:
Construction on First Avenue will begin on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. The project, funded through a State Municipal Aid Grant, will include the full reconstruction of First Avenue between Memorial Drive and Central Avenue. Improvements include new sanitary sewer and stormwater infrastructure, sidewalks, curbing, and roadway paving.
Work will begin with the replacement and upgrading of the sanitary sewer and storm drains. Intermittent road closures will occur on First Avenue between Memorial Drive and Central Avenue, and traffic delays are possible. Please adhere to all posted No Parking signage while work is underway.
