📢 Public Service Announcement – Cooper’s Hawks Nesting Near IT Building
Please be advised that a pair of Cooper’s Hawks—a male and female—have been spotted nesting near the IT Building, just outside the gated area. They are currently protecting a baby hawk in the vicinity.
Cooper’s Hawks are known to become extremely protective and territorial during nesting season. There have already been signs of aggressive behavior toward individuals passing nearby, as the hawks may perceive people as a threat to their young.
🔺 For your safety, we strongly encourage you to take an alternate route and avoid walking through the gated area until further notice.
If you must pass through the area:
- Remain alert and move quickly but calmly.
- Avoid looking up directly or lingering in the area.
- Consider carrying an umbrella or wearing a hat for protection.
