Wilmington Police arrest two men on gun and drug charges:
Wilmington Police have arrested two men on gun and drug charges.
On June 17, at approximately 11:56 a.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the area of Chestnut and South Harrison Streets, when they observed two male subjects engaged in drug-related activity. Police made contact with 28-year-old Donald Saunders, and 29-year-old Christopher Williams, who were taken into custody without incident. Police recovered a loaded .380 caliber handgun, and 5.67 grams of crack cocaine.
Saunders has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
Williams has been charged with the following offense:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
