​​​​​​​Two (2) Arrested and 21 Citations Issued at the Redwood City DUI Checkpoint

Redwood City, California – On 6/21/2025 there were two (2) people arrested for
DUI, and one (1) person cited for an outstanding Warrant at the DUI checkpoints
on 2/21/2025, and 2/22/2025.

The DUI checkpoints were held at El Camino Real at Carlos St from 7:30 p.m. to
10:30 p.m., and Woodside Rd at Bay Rd from 11:30 p.m. to 01:30 a.m.
20 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a
suspended/revoked license, seven (7) drivers were evaluated for D.U.I, and approximately 750 vehicles were contacted/screened.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
