Larkspur and Corte Madera will once again celebrate the Fourth of July with a Parade and Art Fair at Corte Madera Town Park. We hope the following information about the day's festivities will assist those joining us for the celebration.

PARADE:  The route will remain the same as lsat year. The parade will start at 10:30 AM from Redwood High School in Larkspur, proceeding westbound on Doherty Drive. It will then turn southbound onto Magnolia Avenue, continue onto Corte Madera Avenue, and then turn eastbound onto Redwood Avenue. From there, it will travel east along Tamalpais Drive to Madera Boulevard, concluding at the intersection of Tamalpais Drive and Madera Boulevard.

The Central Marin Police Department will begin closing streets at 10:00 AM for the parade, with closures remaining in effect until the parade reaches its endpoint at approximately 1:30 PM.

ROAD CLOSURES:  After 10:00 AM, motorists will only be able to turn onto Madera Boulevard from westbound Tamalpais Drive or enter the south side of Corte Madera Town Center once the parade begins. If you wish to park in the shopping center, it is recommended that you take the Madera Boulevard exit from US-101 South or the Paradise Drive exit from US-101 Northbound.

Magnolia Avenue will be closed to southbound traffic at Bon Air Road. Corte Madera Avenue and Redwood Avenue will be closed at the town limits for through traffic for the parade. Traffic entering the area from Lucky Drive must turn onto Tamal Vista Boulevard, as Lucky Drive will be closed at Fifer Avenue.

Additionally, Pixley Avenue will be closed throughout the day, with access restricted to residents of Pixley and lower Redwood Avenue. The tennis court parking area will be reserved for arts and crafts vendors.

Glass containers are banned from the Town Park.  Alcohol being carried into the park by persons is also limited by town ordinance. Alcohol violations associated with minors in possession, contributing and drunkenness will be strictly enforced.

There will be a high police presence to ensure a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July for all in attendance.
