Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun charges.
On June 17, at approximately 11:12 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the unit block of West 27th Street, in reference to a shots fired incident with no injuries. Upon arrival, police observed a male subject fleeing the area on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, police took 29-year-old Branden Moore into custody without incident, and recovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun.
Moore has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
- Criminal Impersonation
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $6,000 cash-only bail.
