Hey West Side! Get ready for a spectacular Independence Day celebration visible right from our side of the river! We are excited to share details about the upcoming Star Spangled Springfield event.
Star Spangled Springfield Event Details:
- When: Friday, July 4, 2025
- Time: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Location: Riverfront Park in Springfield (offering a great view from West Springfield!)
- Activities (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM): Enjoy face painters and a balloon artist.
- Opening Ceremony (7:00 PM): Welcoming remarks will be followed by the National Anthem performed by Vanessa Ford. There will also be an exciting flyover by two F-15’s from the 104th Fighter Wing at Barnes Air National Guard Base.
- Live Music (7:15 PM): Maxxtone will take the stage to get the audience moving and grooving.
- Fireworks Display (9:30 PM): All eyes will be on the skies for the 20-minute fireworks display , choreographed to music broadcast on Mix 93.1FM and in Riverfront Park. Expect a dazzling array of chrysanthemums, comets, snakes, willows, waterfalls, and more, bursting with brilliant colors and sonic booms!
Important Memorial Bridge Closure Information:
Please note the following schedule for the Memorial Bridge in preparation for the fireworks display:
- Closure Begins: The Memorial Bridge will be closed starting Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 11:00 PM.
- Bridge Reopening: The bridge is expected to reopen by 12:00 Midnight on Friday, July 4, 2025.
