Batteries - how to dispose of correctly 
This is a friendly reminder about how to dispose of batteries correctly. There are many types of batteries and a lot of them could be household hazardous waste.
Please see the flyers attached, print them out,
it could save a fire from happening if disposed of improperly.
The Hawthorne Recycling Center is NOT a Hazardous Waste facility, but we do take car batteries to recycle.
The Passaic County holds four (4) Hazardous Waste collection dates each year. (see attached flyer).
