McDowell County, NC — The McDowell County Water Department announces a scheduled road closure on Rolands Chapel Road to facilitate essential water line construction beneath the railroad trestle.

Daily Closure Hours: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Night Reopening: 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Affected Area: Rolands Chapel Road from Lighthouse Church Road to 170 Rolands Chapel Road
During construction, the road will be impassable and completely closed to through traffic. The work involves installing new water infrastructure directly beneath the railroad trestle, requiring full daytime closure to ensure safety for crews and the public.
Residents and drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes during closure hours.
