TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Street Closures Announced for Taste of the City
Sounds of the Ironbound Outdoor Dining Experience - Sunday, June 29th 
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., announces that the following streets will be closed during the below designated hours due to the City of Newark’s Taste of the City—Sounds of the Ironbound—an Outdoor Dining Experience event:
Beginning from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Sunday, June 29, 2025
• Portions of Ferry Street between Prospect Street and Filmore Street
• Merchant Street
The Taste of the City event begins at 2 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m.
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and plan alternate routes.
Director Miranda thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this event. He also urges anyone with information regarding criminal activities to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
