We have a visitor passing through Streetsboro.  Residents on the northeast corner have spotted a black bear passing through.  Black bears are generally shy and recludive but are also opportunistic - if your garbage or bird feeders are out and accessible, they will eat what they can.  While it is in town, if you can, take down bird feeders and keep your small pets inside.  The majority of their diet is plant based, but they will eat garbage and small mammals (chickens, mice, squirrels).  The best advice we can give is to just LEAVE IT ALONE, it will pass through town like they alwasy have in years past.
