Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., announces that the following streets will be closed during the below designated hours due to the City of Newark’s International Pride Month event:
 
Beginning from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. – Sunday, June 29, 2025
 
• Edison Place between Raymond Plaza East and Bruen Street
• Ferry Street between NJ Railroad Avenue and McWhorter Street
 
The International Pride Month event begins at 2 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. and will be held at Peter Francisco Park.
 
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and plan alternate routes.
 
Director Miranda thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this event. He also urges anyone with information regarding criminal activities to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
