Wilmington Police have arrested a Claymont man on drug charges.
On June 24, at approximately 12:07 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 800 block of Spruce Street, when they observed a male subject engaged in drug-related activity. The male subject then entered a vehicle and left the area. A short time later, police conducted a vehicle stop in the 200 block of South Heald Street, and made contact with 27-year-old Quadire Jackson of Claymont. Jackson was taken into custody without incident, and found to be in possession of 10.26 grams of methamphetamine.
Jackson has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 2 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 2 Quantity
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution pending further proceedings.
