Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Theft from Auto Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in identifying the suspect pictured below, who used a victim’s debit card that had been taken from her vehicle on June 24, 2024.
The theft occurred after 11:11 p.m. when the victim parked her vehicle in the 80 block of Boylan Street. When she returned the next day, June 25, 2025, at approximately 8:20 a.m., the victim’s passenger window was shattered, and her wallet was missing from the center console. In it were her driver’s license, debit cards, and a credit card.
On surveillance video, the suspect was seen using the victim’s debit card at an Irvington pizza restaurant in the 500 block of Grove Street.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
