July 4 holiday to alter trash pickup schedule 
Newton City offices will be closed Friday, July 4 for Independence Day, which will also alter the trash pickup schedule. Trash normally picked up on Thursday will be picked up Wednesday, July 2. Trash normally picked up on Friday will be picked up Thursday, July 3. Monday and Tuesday routes will run as usual. Please make sure to have trash bins at the curb before 7 a.m. on collection day.
