City services temporarily relocated

Due to mechanical issues with the air conditioning system at the Multi-Service Center, 124 Grand St., the Office of Vital Statistics and Licensing has been temporarily relocated to the second floor of the Multi-Service Center within the Health Division this week.

The Division of Housing and the Office of Senior Services will be closed for in-person services this week. Please contact these offices via phone or email. The Division of Housing can be reached at (201) 420-2000 x 1722 or [email protected]. The Office of Senior Services can be reached at (201) 420-2000 X 1094 and [email protected].

Senior activities scheduled to take place this week at the Multi-Service Center will occur as scheduled in the Senior Room and air-conditioned gym on the second floor.

As a reminder, Hudson County has a daytime cooling center for those in need at the Naval Reserve Building, 53 South Hackensack Ave., in Kearny, which will remain open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week, through Aug. 31

The County provides bus transportation to the center at a pick-up location at Observer Highway and Park Avenue between the hours of 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Hoboken Shelter is also serving as a county cooling center for the unhoused from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
