Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in identifying the suspect pictured below, who stabbed a victim with a knife on June 29, 2025.
At approximately 1:30 a.m., surveillance video captured the suspect stabbing the victim several times in the back outside of a home in the 20 block of Fleming Avenue. The victim, who knows the suspect, was sitting on the steps when the suspect came out of the property and motioned as if he was going to shake the victim’s hand.
Instead, he stabbed the victim and fled eastbound on Fleming Avenue. The victim was treated at University Hospital for injuries to the back of his shoulders and neck.
