A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 9 p.m. Storms will produce frequent lightning, along with possible damaging wind gusts.
A Flood Watch is also in effect for the area. Storms will have the potential to bring rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches within a brief period of time leading to flash flooding. Localized total rainfall amounts up to 4 inches will be possible before showers and storms wind down later tonight.
