SUBJECT: Ammunition and Narcotics Arrest
LOCATION: 750 Marshall Street, Redwood City
DATE/TIME: June 27, 2025, Approximately 6:45 P.M.
On June 27, 2025, at approximately 6:45 PM, the Redwood City Police Department Communications Center received a call from private security officers conducting a routine patrol of the public parking garage located at 750 Marshall Street. Security personnel reported approximately 15 juveniles riding scooters and refusing to leave the property.
RCPD deployed an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS), commonly known as a drone, to obtain visual situational awareness before officers arrived on scene. As officers approached, many of the individuals fled in multiple directions. With the assistance of the UAS, several subjects who would have otherwise evaded contact were successfully located.
During the investigation, officers recovered the following items:
- A loaded 30-round rifle magazine
- Two shotgun shells
- A digital scale
- Multiple plastic baggies
- Suspected cocaine and marijuana
- A quantity of cash
A 17-year-old and a 14-year-old were arrested for charges related to the possession of contraband and subsequently released to the San Mateo County Youth Services Center.
